Home / Blog / Planning a Lake Norfork Cabin Trip: What to Pack & Know

A cabin trip to Lake Norfork is about as easy as a vacation gets — but a little planning goes a long way. Here's everything you need to know before you arrive at Crooked Hook Resort.

What's Provided

Every cabin comes ready to live in. You'll find:

  • A fully furnished kitchen — range, oven, microwave, coffee maker, dishes and utensils
  • Fresh linens and towels
  • Free high-speed Wi-Fi and a digital-antenna TV (stream your own device)
  • Heating and air conditioning
  • A covered porch, picnic table, and BBQ grill
  • Access to the swimming pool and private dock

What to Bring

  • Groceries and drinks (Mountain Home has full-size stores 20 minutes away)
  • Fishing gear and an Arkansas fishing license
  • Sunscreen, swimsuits, and towels for the lake and pool
  • Baby gear is available on request — just ask when you book

Getting Here

Crooked Hook Resort is at 3483 Rocky Ridge Road, Mountain Home, AR 72653, on the Fall Creek arm of Lake Norfork. We're about 20 minutes from Mountain Home and 15 minutes from White River trout fishing. Tracy Ferry Marina is just five minutes away.

Bringing Pets & Kids

Pets are welcome by permission for $10/day (please don't leave them unattended). Families love the pool, the rec room, the fire pit, and the safe, quiet cove — see all our amenities.

Booking Tips

A $150 deposit holds your dates, check-in is 3pm and check-out is 10am, and covered boat stalls are available for $20/day (free with week-long stays). Summer and fall fill up fast, so book early. Ready? Check availability and reserve your cabin.
